Summer Travel Soccer
Summer Travel Soccer is GRASC’s competitive, non-coed program focused on player development, teamwork, and quality match play. The program provides structured training and regional competition for players seeking a higher level of soccer beyond in-house play.
Ages
Appropriate for players U12 and above, with a pilot travel option for U10 girls (see note below).
Teams are formed by age group and gender and are not coed.
Age Level Birthdates
- U18 1/1/2008 to 12/31/2009
- U16 1/1/2010 to 12/31/2011
- U14 1/1/2012 to 12/31/2013
- U12 1/1/2014 to 12/31/2015
- U10 GIRLS 1/1/2016 to 12/31/2017
When
The Summer Travel Soccer season runs May through June, with postseason play and tournaments typically in late June or early July.
U10 Girls – Pilot Travel Option
For Summer 2026, GRASC is piloting two program options for U10 girls to support retention and development.
At this age level, participation has declined when girls are placed exclusively in coed environments. To address this, families may choose between:
- In-House Soccer (Coed) – Summer Future Stars
- Travel Soccer (Girls-only) – Summer Travel program (this page)
This U10 Girls Travel team(s) will compete against other area girls’ teams, offering an all-girls playing environment. Practices will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays, with game schedules varying.
Where
Practices are held in Grand Rapids, with games played locally and throughout northern Minnesota and surrounding areas, depending on league and opponent locations.
Practices
Teams typically practice twice per week.
Practice days and times are determined by individual coaches based on field availability.
Games
Teams play a combination of league games, regional matches, and tournament games.
Game days vary by age group and league schedule and may occur on weeknights and/or weekends.

- U10 Girls Travel: $195.00
- U12: $225.00
- U14: $250.00
- U15+: $350.00
Extra Costs
In addition to the registration fee, families should be aware of possible additional costs, including:
- Uniform costs for new players or replacement items
- Optional tournament fees for tournaments beyond those already included (if offered)
Any additional costs will be communicated in advance.
Jerseys
Club jerseys are required for travel play.
New players or those needing replacement items may need to purchase a jersey.

2026 Summer Travel Soccer
GRASC Summer Travel Soccer is a competitive, non-coed program designed for players seeking a higher level of play focused on development, teamwork, and quality match experiences.
The summer season runs May–June, with postseason play and tournaments typically occurring in late June or early July. Teams compete in a mix of regional league games, area matches, and tournament opportunities, with travel primarily in northern Minnesota and surrounding areas.
Teams generally practice twice per week, with schedules determined by individual coaches. Depending on registration numbers, teams may be formed at different competitive levels (such as Tier 1 or Tier 2) to best match players by skill and development needs. Tryouts or evaluations may be used if multiple teams are formed at an age group.
Registration fees include governing body fees, player insurance, field and referee costs, and team equipment. Uniforms are required for travel play; new players or those needing replacements may incur additional costs. Optional tournaments beyond those already included may involve additional fees.
Teams may fill before the registration deadline, so early registration is encouraged. Final schedules, game locations, and tournament participation will be shared once registration closes and league schedules are confirmed.
