2026 Soccer Age Group Chart

As of Fall 2026, all GRASC programs use the new school-year age model based on birthdates from August 1 to July 31. This page shows how players are grouped for Grand Rapids Area Soccer Club programs.

How GRASC applied the 2026 age-group transition

• U10 and under (Future Stars / in-house): moved to the school-year model at the start of 2026, covering the winter, spring, and summer sessions.
• U12 and above (travel): played Spring and Summer 2026 under the previous calendar-year model, then transitioned to the school-year model beginning Fall 2026.

All GRASC seasons going forward — winter, spring, summer, and fall — use the school-year (August 1 – July 31) age windows.

Fall 2026 only: U14 transition allowance

For Fall 2026, AYSA is allowing all players born in 2012 to register for U14, even though some would otherwise move up under the new cutoffs. This is a transition-year allowance so summer-2026 teammates can play one more season together. AYSA has stated this is planned to be offered for Fall 2026 only.
