GRASC Fall 6v6 League Overview

• Local Play: Teams compete locally in Grand Rapids with no travel required.
• Coed Teams: Teams are coed.
• No Tryouts or Cuts: All players are welcome to join.

Season Details

• Dates: September 7th through October 12th
• Location: West Rapids Elementary School
• Practices: Held on Monday afternoons/evenings
• Games: Played on Sunday afternoons/evenings

Final times will be determined after registration closes and team counts are finalized.

• Game Times (Sundays):
  • U6/U8: 5:00 PM (45 minutes)
  • U10: 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM (45 minutes)
• Practice Times (Mondays):
  • U6 & U8: 5:00 PM (45 minutes)
  • U10: 6:00 PM (45 minutes)

Additional Information

• Field Size: Fields are smaller than those used in the summer soccer season.
• Team Formation: Teams are created based on final registration numbers (e.g., U6, U8, U10).
• Age Groups: We follow the US Youth Soccer birth year calendar, which assigns players to age groups based on their birth year, not the school year.

Birth Year Guidelines for Fall 2025

• U6 (Under-6): Born in 2020-2021
• U8 (Under-8): Born in 2018-2019
• U10 (Under-10): Born in 2016-2017

Fees

• Cost: $100 plus $25 if a jersey is needed.
  
• Late Fee: $20 starting August 1st
• Registration Deadline: August 1st (no guarantees after this date)

Uniforms

• We will use the same jersey from summer.  The orange Spartan Deli.  If you do not have one you will need to purchase one during registration.
• On game nights:
  • Home Team: Wears the provided orange fall league 6v6 jersey.
  • Away Team: Wears a temporary pullover in an opposite color.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

• Sign up to coach during player registration or register through the "Volunteer Options" tab if you don’t have a player.

AYSA Fall League Overview

• Age Groups: Boys and girls born between 2012-2015
• League: Teams compete in the Arrowhead Youth Soccer Association (AYSA) Fall League.
  • No Tryouts or Cuts: All players are welcome.
  • Travel: Teams will travel to the Duluth and Hibbing areas and host home games.

Season Details

• Dates: August through September
• Teams: Not coed at any level
• Age Group Placement: AYSA follows the US Youth Soccer birth year calendar, which assigns players to age groups based on their age at the end of the calendar year.

AYSA Birth Year Guidelines for Fall 2024

• U12 (Under-12): Born in 2014-2015
• U14 (Under-14): Born in 2012-2013

Tentative Play Nights

• Locations: Home, Hibbing, and Duluth areas
• Schedule:
  • U12: Tuesday/Thursday
  • U14: Monday/Wednesday (possibly some Sunday afternoons)

Practices

• Teams typically practice twice a week, with schedules determined by the respective coaches.

Fees

• Cost: $225
  • Uniform Fee: $50 if you need a uniform (jersey, shorts, socks)
  • Early Bird Discount: $25 off if registered by May 31st
  • Late Fee: $25 for registrations after July 15th
• Registration Period: Opens May 15, 2025, and closes when the level is full or on July 15, 2025, whichever comes first.

Uniforms

• U12 & U14 Uniforms: Players will wear the Nelson Wood Shims kit.
• New Players or Replacements: If you need a new uniform, use the Uniform Sizing Chart during registration.
