As we head into this weekend’s tournament, please review the MYSA weather guidelines that the Lake Superior Open will follow:

⛈️ Severe Weather:

• Games will be suspended for 30 minutes if lightning is in the area. A siren will sound—everyone must leave the fields immediately.

• Tournament officials will determine if and when play can safely resume.

• If play cannot resume, the score at stoppage will stand.

• Games that cannot begin due to weather will be recorded as a 0-0 tie.

🔥 Heat Policy:
Tournament staff will monitor the heat index and communicate any adjustments:

• Up to 89° – Normal play

• 90°–99° – 2-min water breaks per half; halves shortened by 5 mins

• 100°–105° – 2-min water breaks per half; halves shortened by 10 mins

• 105°+ – Play suspended
